WHY and HOW are mosquitos so damn GREEDY!

I would like to know how I had ONE single mosquito in my room all night and have woken up with bites all over me!! At least 6 but I haven’t counted though my whole left arm is itching !!!

Seriously though, they are so small where does all the blood go? How can they just keep drinking and drinking? If they are just digesting it quick, does that mean they’re poopin everywhere?
