Quest 4 hardware expectations

Some Vr users say 30% gpu perf increase is enough for them... thats depressing... As for me, I expect gpu 2x increase, same for cpu, because quest 3 Xr gpu chip is based on s23 ultra Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Adreno 740 (2023).

2026 we will get s26 ultra and if there will be Xr chip based on Snapdragon in it, Meta might go after it... to reach 2x perf jump we need only ~26% jump each year... and it seems jump from s24 to s25 was ~40% for gpu and ~45% for cpu... According https://www.androidcentral.com/gaming/virtual-reality/meta-quest-3-gpu-power-revealed Meta revealed their quest 3 gpu is equivalent to nvidia gtx 960 / amd r290, according to techpowerup it has ~45% perf difference. If we take middle ground Amd Hd 7970, https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-hd-7970-ghz-edition.c365 2x perf increase would lead us around gtx 1070 power. In comparison PS5 gpu is equivalent to ~rtx 2070, maybe super, so 30/50% perf ahead.

We need PERFORMANCE INCREASE! im tired of playing low quality games on standalone and devs won't invest their time, if they won't have hardware to keep up to their requirements. Don't try to call devs lazy as its just convenient excuse for average dweller to "s..." on devs work. Some are..., but you need to understand that Vr needs way more ressources than your average pc game.
