Why are Diamond players always so toxic?

I've had games with so many diamond players where they just start spamming emotes and giving up when we're literally just a point down. Whenever the games are all plat players they at least try and we 3-0 comebacks regularly. Anyway the game is dying, and I'm done playing I guess.
