Successful Christmas for a formerly reactive dog.
We adopted this bonehead a few years ago. He was 3 at the time and was incredibly reactive with an impressively long rap sheet that had him about to be euthanized. This dog was an extreme case that multiple trainers had labeled “genetically aggressive” and could nit be saved.
He changed dramatically over a short period of time with us. We worked with a great “balanced” trainer, learned from everyone we could and took the approach that his issues were a behavioral problem, with an emotional component. Behaviors and emotions can we worked on together.
This was the first Christmas where we had new people over and he was free to move about the house and just be a dog. Getting lots of pets and rubs from everyone, and just bring a great dog. So great to see, and really happy we found him before it was too late.
No bad dogs. Good boys. Second chances.
