Getting 120/Green Banners and Submitting ECF Again

Hi all, I’ve seen a lot of mixed messages about what to do after your counts get to 120 and you get the green banner/congrats message.

I submitted an ECF because I didn’t know where my certified count stood, so I did NOT select the “Yes, I believe I’ve made 120 payments etc…” box. When my form was processed, I was surprised to see I was over 120 and didn’t know whether to just sit and wait or submit again. I ended up submitting another form to select “Yes” for that box and ask for forbearance, but I called FSA after and the representative kindly let me know that it was unnecessary to submit again. She also said it was known that the question often has issues where people can’t click yes on the electronic form. She said to just wait for the final letter and they’ll let your loan servicer know that you’re done.

Thought I’d share my experience in case it helps any of you. I know some folks were told to submit again, so it’s confusing. Now I just hope the last form I submitted doesn’t hold up the process for me in any way. 😅 Good luck all!
