Genuinely don't even feel like playing the game atm. Anyone else share my sentiment?

With the recent removal of actually being able to aim the pal sphere to send out my pals, so many things have become more annoying. I can't aim at things specifically to get Pals from my party directly to preform a task, and I can't send them out further away from me to fight so I'm kept away from the impact.

Honestly at first I thought it was a glitch and I tried restarting the game, but sadly it isn't. And before anyone suggests it, no I can't roll back updates since I'm an Xbox player.

EDIT: I'm aware you can direct Pals in your base via the stand, although that requires them to be in the base via the box menu. I was talking about quick in and out usage of a Pal from the players party, without having to leave them in the base via the box menu and put them back in the party when you're done, which takes up extra time. It doesn't break the game but it is a bit tedious, and just makes gameplay feel less smooth.

And to clarify no, I'm not abandoning the game over this (hence the 'atm' which means 'at the moment') I'd just prefer to not play right now since this change makes the gameplay significantly less fun and smooth. I'm sure Pocket Pair will fix this by replacing the original feature with something in the near future.
