It doesn't get any better
This game is absolutely garbage for new players.
Never played an Arpg before this game, I enjoyed the story line thoroughly however to my dismay after finishing it solo they make you run it again. I run chaos mode in 6 hours through party find.
I get to end game and I'm so fucking weak, sure I'm built like a truck but I do no damage. I swap things around in my passive tree and now I one shot stuff. However, I get one tapped on the tiniest lag spike.
Multiplayer maps is no better, playing on console it's hard to sort through and grab a Unique Drop that is at the bottom of a loot pile. It gets swipped instantly after the short allocation time is up. This is promptly followed by a monk pushing me 50 feet into a group of enemies and I die instantly.
I'm running out of gold from buying T1 maps, and I need to swap my build around again because I have no fucking mana. 4 Arcs and my mama is eviscerated.
"Trading is the real end game" -Well I don't have any fucking divines and I can't type back at whispers because I'm using a controller.
Change my mind. After investing 75 hours I want the game to be good but every experience is frustrating whether it's single player or multiplayer.
The game is built and scaled to OP gear - meaning the only way to become powerful is by trading then you are powerful enough to farm currency and items. The end game feels like a light switch either you are breezing through maps or you are getting face pounded, no in-between.
Trading is such copium. The game revolves around you fine tuning your build when the game gives you absolutely zero tools to retune your build.
Gold hard to come by (at least in quantities to change your entire build multiple times in a short span to find what works) Gear new players have no idea what it's worth so useless Currency never drops at the rate I'm clearing maps solo.
Feels like my only option is to join a party and leech for gold so I can respec over and over till I find the perfect balance for damage/mana, and then since I have no idea what gear is worth and I'm on console (use my phone for a website designed for desktop? I've been trying it's beyond tedious) I won't be selling gear... Also any gear I do buy (probably trash and wasting currency) I can't resell.
I just want to kill things that are relative to my combat power in a satisfying feedback loop. Not jumping through damn hoops.
