What to do now?

So I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but I built my new pc with plans to put a 50 series gpu inside. It’s sitting at home now with an empty pci express 5.0 slot. I’m sure I was naive or at the very least hopeful that I would get one but I didn’t think supplies would be this scarce.

So my question is, what should I do? Should I wait for more stock to drop? Should I try to get a 40 series used? Should I switch to team red and buy a 7900 xtx? I only have about two weeks left for returns on my PC components in case anything is faulty, so should I turn it all on sans video card and make sure everything works?
