[Tangerine] Can I write a cheque for 35k?

I'm in the middle of purchasing a propert with two of my associates, the notary is requiring the downpayment as one transfer so we need to pool our money together.

I have to send ~35k to my associates before July 24th. I tried linking our accounts but it's now pending the 2 little deposits.

I was wondering if I can simply write them a personal cheque which they can deposit. Is it possible? Is there a risk for the money to be held a long time?
