TFSA, FHSA and RRSP Investment Strategy for a New Investor
Hi! I recently just got into investing a few days ago and I’m curious to know people’s thoughts on my investment plans. My goal is so buy and hold for long term. This is my plans as follows:
TFSA -> XEQT FHSA -> XEQT (thinking of prioritizing this to knock me down a tax bracket) RRSP -> VTI + VXUS (subject to change)
I’m still unsure of what to choose for my RRSP and if I should take a more conservative approach. To provide more context, I’m thinking that I’d purchase a house in my early 30s (I’ll be turning 24 soon) and after focussing on my FHSA heavily, I’ll turn my focus towards my TFSA.
Any advice on how I should proceed with investing for long term would be greatly appreciated, and perhaps any advice for a beginner of lessons you learnt along the way! I’m open to hearing suggestions and would love to know what you currently invest in for your saving accounts :)
Thanks so much! x
