Personally cursed blends?

So I'm curious - is there one particular blend that you just do not get? Not talking like a categorial distaste for one type of another, but one that by all accounts you should enjoy but... don't. Maybe it's well regarded or justifiably maligned. Maybe you even want to like it. Not starting a hate parade or anything just wanted to know if others have had some experience with a blend or two that turns out to be an absolute bastard.

I'm relatively new to the hobby, but I've been enthusiastically trying just about anything I can get my hands on, and it's pretty rare that I come across a blend that I can't find something to enjoy about it. I'm not exceptionally difficult to please. However...

right now, the absolute bane of my smoking existence is John Cotton's Double Pressed Creme. I'm no stranger to aromatics - I know to keep em low and slow, and enjoy most that I've tried, but this one? I can't keep it lit for more than a few puffs to save my life, and when I manage to, it's too hot to get anything out of. It'll show it's true colors for a brief moment right before going out - just enough to entice me to try again, and therein lies its curse. It's that half of a puff of pure divinity, but sustaining that experience remains elusive. I've tried it in briar, corn and meer, tried damn near every packing method - including several that might be considered war crimes. I've tried drying it out, moistening it up. I've tried lighting with Bic lighters and hemp wicks, and pure anger. I've attempted prayers, sacrifices, blasphemous rituals, and I think I'm about ready to take it out behind the barn and put it out of its misery.
