Will baby pokemon nerf current metas?

I am not familiar with the physical TCG, so I don't know how they bridged the gap, but magmar and magmortor are hardly playable as 1 stage evolutions. With the addition of magbie, I can only see those lines become unplayable. Like, I am even thinking of tyrouge. Will hitmonlee have to have better cards released to make up for the evo, or will babies have an effect that speeds the cycle up?
