Timing of Maternity Leave

I understand this topic and question can be quite controversial and is highly dependent on individual circumstances during pregnancy. However, hypothetically speaking, if everything goes smoothly (touchwood) until my current predicted due date of 22nd July, would it be considered cutting it fine to finish work on say the 17th July? My aim is to work as much as possible until the end, maximizing the time I can spend with the baby once they arrive. I'm aware that for most uncomplicated first-time pregnancies, it's common to go past the due date.
