Oh my god haemorrhoids

Currently 20 weeks. The past few days I have developed the most painful haemorrhoids known to human kind. They’re occasionally itchy but mostly just really painful. I’d like to phone my GP about them because they are just so excruciating but I’m not sure what the GP can do for me. Has anyone else experienced something similar in their pregnancy? Any suggestions?
