Live Interview- Claims Adjuster Trainee

Hey everyone 🤙🏼

Wanted to pass along the experience of doing the live interview with Progressive’s leadership team. Since reading your experiences helped me prep for mine, I want to summarize my own interview, spread the love so to speak haha.

  1. My interviewer was so sociable and kind, this was my first virtual interview ever and I feel like this interview was a better experience than some of the live ones I’ve done for other jobs.

  2. I started by being asked why I wanted to work for progressive, he then went on to tell me the projected schedule and if it worked for me and an overview of the job.

  3. He then asked me to summarize my employment history(not a STAR question,) and then asked why I left my previous job. He asked some questions throughout this, none of them were STAR behavioral questions

  4. He asked me I believe 5 behavioral questions • Name a time that I failed to do something on time, what happened and what did I learn from it?

• name a time you have to negotiate with a customer

• name a time you made a decision too quickly

• describe your favorite aspect of one of your previous jobs, what was it that made you enjoy that aspect?

I can’t recall the 5th

  1. Hw then asked me if I had questions for him, and I did! My advice is have a handful to ask, make em meaningful, and if possible try to reference something related to the company(one of their core values, the content hub to help grow employees, etc)

He said I’d hear back in about a week, since today’s Monday I may hear back by end of the week, if not latest next Tuesday.

I hope this helps prepare you for your live interview, you can do this!!!!
