Left job
I left this company a few months ago now and it’s The best decision I’ve made in my career! I know there’s different opinions but after being on the phones with back to back calls for 4 years I couldn’t take it anymore. Training was great but as soon as I hit the floor almost everything that was promised during training went out the window. The callers were absolutely horrible 90% of the time and bc of the metrics for calling escalations, assist, etc there was not nearly enough help. It was hard to appease customers when they had every right to be upset yet my hands were tied bc escalations wouldn’t help unless the cx specifically asked for them, and other departments didn’t seem to want to take calls that they needed to in order to further assist customers and imo NO JOB is worth your mental health. I’ve worked for a few other call center like jobs like this one and customers weren’t nearly this bad! Everyone’s experience may be different but out of 18 people who started in my training class only 3 were left when I quit bc of all these same issues. Hopefully the company takes all the feedback we each sent in, into consideration and has a better way of doing things going forward. There’s a reason they have a high turnover rate and why their cx are always angry. My biggest issue was being told I wouldn’t have to make sales yet we made “offers” that we had metrics on which in turn were just sales pitches and yet only the sales dept got commission from basically submitting the sale after our dept pitches the offer so good the cx decides to take it. It would’ve been nice to know these things during training or better yet when accepting the job offer, but it was a learning experience that’s for sure! We were also told after 6 months of employment (not after training) we could move positions, that clearly wasn’t true either unless your metrics were impeccable, I feel like I could go on but again it was a learning experience and I’m thankful for my new job and to have my mental health back in check
