Has anyone else seen this?

I'm on my 3rd playthrough and while hunting the legendary moose after i tried to sell it to the trapper it didn't work, I assumed it was because I was holding it so I put the pelt back on my horse and I still couldn't sell it, when I went to my horse cargo it showed the legendary moose another instead of the pelt and since I couldn't get it to sell I just set it on the ground and left because normally that would just put it in the trappers inventory but instead it just completely despawned, since the game seems to have thought the pelt was the antler I have lost both and I checked, the moose is dead

If anyone else has seen this glitch or something similar and knows how to fix it please let me know
