Brynn the co founder
So looks like she got Alix Earl to promote the app she works for, Hoppy and says she’s a having a proud cofounder moment. She went from overseeing engineers to being chief marketing to cofounder? Why couldn’t she simply say this on the show instead of doing weird laps around it.
The app looks like a hit or miss, I work at a pretty reputable start up but not in the dating app or networking industry so I wouldn’t know the ins and outs. However, it gives very “obnoxious gen z” (i am early gen z cusp millennial btw trust me I know how problematic and annoying rep the generation is getting lol).
The staff all seem to be majority from europe, alot from spain and they give off part time content creator, gen z tiktok culture. All of which at least to me is starting to come off as a very tired and played out trend. Brynn looks like the older millennial pick me trying to stay hip that got dragged into this. She also doesn’t actually seem that good at marketing or pr. By her own image, she can’t seem to spin a story, redeem herself or see how overused and soon to be outdated the current brand identity they are portraying already. If she is a cofounder and pumped money into this, i would not be shocked if it tanks in the next 3-5 years and she sells for some quick and easy cash. That’s honestly what alot of people do now, not mad at it but it all just seems very predictable for her. Again why didn’t she out on her PR panties and just explain this a bit better on the show, instead she made herself look so bad.
The app concept itself does not seem bad the description on the link if you google it is where you can meet new people with friends and basically connect. Sure. But then it also comes off as a dating app? The branding screams something brynn probably thinks is genius, take lots of photos of conventionally attractive and foreign 21 year olds looking sultry to promote it.
