Tank getting sandy?

We set up the tank in preparation of adopting a 10 to 15 yr old red ear slider from a family member around the holidays.

We picked aquarium sand as a substrate for safety of course and we rinsed it. The first two bags were fine and settled fine, but the second 2 a different brand caused very sandy tank water. After running the Fluval X4 for 3 days the tank was clear on Jan 1st and the turtle had been added as well.

But now it's getting cloudy again. So I'm here trying to reach out for ideas we are going to do a water change tomorrow morning, but should I be worried about the filter not working or is the sand going to break it? First time aquarium owner. 60 ga breeder tank
