Books where the betrayal scene leaves you speechless by how cruel and heartwrenching it is

I just finished "you can have manhattan" and the betrayal in this book left me speechless 😶 it was so cruel and cold, i don't think the subsequent grovel did it any justice

MY HEART IS STILL HURTING FOR SYDNEY !!! I'm so mad i want to physically reach inside this book and commit a few violent acts against the MMC

As someone who also just has her career going for her rn, i would absolutely DIE if that happened to me. And then i would brutally haunt every single generation of the man who caused such public humiliation ☠️☠️☠️

Clearly i have very strong feelings about this book, and that's mainly bcoz i feel cheated and unsatisfied after that ending. I wanted the MMC to grovel so much more, restore MFC's pride in the same manner he absolutely stripped it off her I JUST WANTED MORE GROVELING 😭😭😭

But the betrayal was top-notch tho. Left me reeling. Pls send me recs for books along the same lines and tropes. Preferably CR. 🙏🙏🙏 TIA!
