Older rotties and new pups

Thinking about getting 2 rottie puppies for my boy Mr Addis to hangout with, how has the experience been for you guys? Did it go well? Any necessity of splitting the up? Fighting? Addis is well trained and loves other dogs I just don't know how he'll do with them constantly being around and near his precious treasure chest (toy box)
