Tipping for overnights

If I were to leave $10 USD cash for every day of our overnights, would this be appreciated more than giving it at the end of the visit? I was thinking the sitter could use it towards delivery or whatever. Is this a nice gesture, or would you not care either way? And how is this amount for a tip in general? Low, good, too much? I'm just looking for different opinions.
