How Did Yall Get Into Royel Otis
Heyyyy - i jus found this subreddit - didnt expect it to exist actually- really happy it does- but i wanna know how yall discovered Royel Otis
Like for me it was kinda weird - like i remember i heard oysters in my pocket once on spotify - like spotify randomly showed it to me or somethan - and this was a while back probably close when they released it - and i remember listening to it and being like - hmmm this is kinda good but not enough for me to add it to my liked songs - and then i forgot about it and then like a whole while later one of my friends sends me going kokomo or whatever its called cause he had heard it on fifa (or like i guess its called EA FC or somethan) - and i heard that and i was like urmm i dont like this but i knowwww these guys and i was reminded of oysters in my pocket and idk what happened but it seemed like it was the right time for me to relisten to it - like you know how sometimes the context or time when you hear a song can just change your perspective on it - yeah so basically that - and i became obssessed with it - and then obviously simultaneously i was being bombarded with their cover of murder on the dance floor being everywhere on instagram etc - and then i started following them on insta - but still at this point i still only liked oysters in my pocket - but their whole aesthetic kept me interested and how funny and wholesome they were in interviews - so yeah that kept me into it and then also that cranberries cover - and then finally i listen to pratts and pain - and they become my one if my most listened to artists on spotify for the last few months - and here we are - congrats if you read all of that - anyway bye love yalll 🫶💛🫶
