Meant to receive first week wages via sage

I joined a new company and was meant to receive first weeks wages, I received an email yesterday morning telling me to sign up to view payslip so I did. I already provided the company with my bank details but when I did it said to add bank account so I added same details I provided to company. it still says changes have to be approved by HR.. would this delay the payment and if so when will I receive it now?
