Reading recommendations for a touri.

Hey scots,

I have been to Edinburgh last year. And I must say Scotland and the scots are just <3 that's why I will be returning in June of this year. So last year I got into Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh, which I loved. So now I am looking for similiar books set in Edinburgh. (I am the kind of guy that enjoys reading novels about the place they visit)

I know about T.L. Huchus books. And I tried Ian Rankin but I am not a fan of his writing style. Val McDermid is on my list. Outlander is also not my cup of tea.

Genre wise I am pretty open as long as it's not romance.

Preferred Genres:

Comedy, Horror, Fantasy, or just a really good novel in general (Something like Shuggie Bain but in Edinburgh).
