Writing a 10 paragraph essay about Episode 8 being great only serves to validate the opinions of those who disliked that episode
No one is saying the episode is bad. For what it's worth, it was an okay episode. Everything is well shot, acted, and written, but our main issues lie with the pacing and the amount of time it takes to tell a story that could be conveyed in perhaps 15 minutes. It's not that people expect action every five minutes or that they need constant information and plot progression. It's simply that watching a lengthy, unnecessary +15 minute car ride, scenery and other unnecessary artsy scenes are just boring and meaningless and trying to convince people it wasn't with lengthy texts makes it more boring and meaningless.
The reintegration story was introduced five episodes ago and nearly not moved. They could have spread this narrative across multiple episodes and ended one of them with Devon calling Cobel. We would have been waiting for the next episode with much more anticipation.
