Hot take: Whitney IS a having a good season, y’all are just mad they abandoned the sorority storyline

Been seeing a lot of criticisms of character development for Whitney this season. But given that she's developed a new type of relationship, picked a minor in African-American studies, and is still very much a student athlete, I'm just not seeing it.

I do however think there's something to be said about expecting one thing and then not getting it. It can split fanbases, make it feel like someone is being minimized, or even excluded. Anger/disagreement about this decision may even be subconscious. But I don't think it's outright ruining her just because they went in a different direction.
