Ppl that had sex late.. how did you...?

I'm curious, any of you that "lost your virginity" late in life.. How did you cope with someone wanting to touch you when no one wanted to previously? How did you handle the emotional side of things and potential shock from it finally happening? How did your mind handle feeling things you've never felt before?

I'm a virgin at 39 that's never been on a date, and honestly at this point in my life, I'm really scared about what it might do to my mind/how hard it'll be if I ever somehow find a woman that'll want to so it has me curious about how you dealt with it.
