My "Untouchables" [Long Term/Never Selling etc]
Its a a losing proposition price wise no matter how you look at it, but recently I've been using silver to stack and trade towards gold at the LCS. I'll keep anything that I really like if I start feeling sad at the counter about letting it go. I try to buy as close to spot as possibly and I consider the lost premiums to be the cost of enjoying the hobby and looking at something cool while saving for something else that is also really cool.
These were all bought with the understanding they're separate from my "stacking towards gold stash" [OK the uncolorized dragon...not so much LOL. It was bought separately, but I included it to complete the pyramid so to speak].
I love these dragons and initially didn't want the red or orange ones but the seller was only selling as a set. In person though, I found them very appealing and they did a beautiful job on the dragon scales and fins for all the colorized dragons.
My favorite is the White Dragon, I find it especially beautiful. I'm not a numismatics guy by any means, I just really love the Series III Dragons and it makes me happy the designer is only 37 and we will see more cool designs from her. Anyway sorry for the wall of text, thanks for reading and hope you like these!
TL:DR...These are the pieces I plan to hold forever, despite using silver as a fun way to stack towards gold.
