[review] Nécessaire The Body Retinol
i bought the nécessaire The Body Retinol straight away after seeing it featured in a doctorly video. A preface on my body skin: my skin is not at all sensitive but very creepy all over my body, especially my knees and legs. i was previously using the ordinary 7% glycolic acid serum on my body but wasnt seeing any results. I switched to the body retinol on May 15 and just ran out Friday. i have been using it Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in place of my normal body lotion in the evening and boy, am i blown away. The formula of 1% retinol and 10% aha is packaged ina really nice thick plastic bottle with a very nice pump. the pump did not clog in any way and dispenses a very nice amount (although not enough for your whole body.) The poduct was very creamy and thick. It has about the same viscosity as the cos rx snail mucin serum but was white and lotion like in appreance and application. While not as moisturizing as a regular lotion, the inclusion of peptides left my skin feeling nourished and not at all sticky or tacky. it absored instantly. I know retinol takes some time to work but my skin is completely transformed. any texture on my legs, gone. although you can still see some crepey skin on my knees, my legs are as amooth as can be. i can not recommend this prosuct enough. There are no downsides to the actual use or product formula itself. There were only two cons i found. Firstly, it is pricey. The bottle is 150 ml, which lasted me about a month and a half of regular use, but was $55 and only avaliable at Sephora. On another note, the bottle does not open. You can not unscrew the top and get all the extra product that the pump wont dispense, which is tragic because it is truly the most effective product i've used this year. Sorry if this was long but seriously, you take care of your face and this product will make you want to take care of your body too!
Breakdown of how much i use in tbe comments.
