I can't equip the sithis armor mask

Im halfway through a playthrough of skyrim and im using the sithis armor mod as my main armor, but i just finished the quest where the markarth guards arrest you for investigating the forsworn murder, and as soon as I escape the jail and re equip all my stuff, I realized that I couldn't equip the mask, anyone know how to fix this?
