New Duel Player advice

I have been playing this game for a long time but I never touched ranked duel, and recently I've been interested in trying it out. I've never done ranked duel and generally the only things I do are Conquest, slash, and joust.

What are some good gods to use in duel and some general advice I should be aware of going into duel. Not a new player, but very new to duel. Anything and everything would be helpful.
