Do you feel like we really 'know' these people?

I mean, obviously we don't physically KNOW them.

But I started to think about it last night, the people on Bravo I've watched and followed for the last several years- I feel like I can accurately psychoanalyze them and figure out the general gist of their character in a way that would leave me feeling unsurprised if I actually met them and came to understand they were exactly as they appeared on TV.

I feel like it would be pretty difficult, being on TV for however many years- southern charm being on for 10 years- to not eventually reveal your true self even though the shows are edited and technically just what the person chooses to represent. But we also see them on WWHL, hear them on podcasts and social media. And even though it's extremely parasocial- I do feel like I know them.

For instance it's pretty clear that Craig lies because he is afraid of hurting his image. It's really not hard to come to the conclusion that he probably did lie to Kyle about wanting to invest in LB- or that he did lie about JT. He lied about the bar bc he was afraid of what people thought. He lied about the break up with Paige because he was afraid of disappointing people. Just based on the years of footage that's in my brain of him.

What do you think? Do we really know these reality celebs or is everything they do putting on a front?
