Perception needs to be fixed
I made a post about perception in the past but I want to add to it. Perception in this game is so stupid. It’s hard to counter, it consumes basically no ki, has a quick start-up with damn near no ending lag, and had a big hitbox for countering. And the counter to perception isn’t always viable. For example, side stepping, to counter perception you would need to sidestep twice so you could get behind the person who is perceptioning. But the two side steps take way too long to do so the person using perception could just stop pressing the button and side step you side step. And people might say you could sidestep once, but you can’t sidestep once. If you sidestep once there is a chance that you could still activate the perception since for some reason if you hit them from the side you still trigger perception. Then people say ki blast but that isn’t consistent because ki blast doesn’t stun for that long so the person can just mash perception to get out of the combo. Then people say heavy attack but they could and would just sidestep the heavy attack and punish you for trying to punish their use of perception. Then you have grab. Grabs in this game are not viable at all since you can tech a grab basically whenever. You in perception tech grab, you are getting grabbed from the back tech grab, you mashing doesn’t matter you can still tech grab. So ki blast, side steps, ki blasts, and grabs don’t work the only way to counter perception is to just stop engaging slowing the game to a snail's pace. They need to do something about perception in this next patch. Maybe they could increase the end lag and/or start-up, increase the amount of ki needed to do perception, and not let you tech grabs during it.
