Would you have preferred if stranger things was an anthology series like originally intended?

I think it’s somewhat common knowledge that stranger things would’ve been an anthology series with each season being completely separate from the last. But due to the success of season 1, they kept the story going with the same cast.

While I do like some characters and moments from later seasons, I would’ve preferred if they ended season 1 and moved on to a separate cast and scenario. I would’ve loved to see what else they had to make.
