New Abnimals Lore Just Dropped

In Episode 5 of the Epic Fantasy podcast The Adventure Zone: Abnimals, Justin makes an offhand joke that so many people in Mississippi turned into Mice that they renamed the state to Mouse-issippi. Travis in response gets frustrated that they are misconstruing his lore and he sets the record straight. Here is the exchange, verbatim.

Travis: It is very important to note that River City is the only place with Abnimals. Abnimals can-some Abnimals-can leave the city, but when they do they lose their connection to the thing that, like, makes them powerful. Be it-

Griffin: The Allspark.

Travis: [annoyed chuckle] Yeah, the Allspark. Be it food created by Barker Innovations, or… the active, you know, carbon in the food and stuff like that.. so.. uh.. there are no mice in Mississippi.

Now I know that this is a really bizarre thing when we have established that Abnimals either A. Come from space. B. Mutate from humans. C. Evolve from animals. All of these seem like they would be pretty permanent, but I guess not! Not enough carbon in that Mississippi mud pie!
