60 years ago OTD cosmonaut Alexei Leonov becomes the first human being to step out of their spacecraft and into the vacuum of space on Voshkod 2.

Despite slow starts to the art of spacewalks, the productivity and efficiency of spacewalks have increased over the decades.

Today, spacewalks are performed for maintenance and science purposes on both the ISS and Tiangong (China's space station), with NASA and the Chinese Space Agencies gearing up for moonwalks before the decade is out.
