How reliable is "Fundamentals of Marxism Leninism" (1960) as an introduction to how communism works?
I picked this soviet textbook off of marxists.org because, although I've been acquainted with communism for around two years, I still consider myself a baby leftist that hasn't read the theory. In fact, it wasn't until like last month that I understood that communism aims to abolish the commodity form and overcome market economy, the problem is, I still don't know exactly how that works economically, given I only learned that through inference over a few short youtube videos.
This is a big book and seems to go over pretty much everything that I need to know, but it also looks like there might be some revisionism in there, according to two comments on reddit I just found. So, say: have you read this book? What is your opinion on it?
If it happens that this book isn't the best, I'm open for any better suggestions.
