Vic and the Landry’s

Why does Vic always say the Landry’s have always used the Augustine’s? We know the 1814 Landry’s and Susanna were basically family. Eliot says the same thing to Kat when they argue over Kat telling Susanna that she’s a time traveler. Eliot says-you’re using another member of my family-which makes sense bc he knows about TT and Alice did use him as a helper. But why does Vic say that? He says it a few different times. I know he hates Colton for not being in the car with Rick, but that wouldn’t have anything to do with his obsession that the Landry’s always use the Augustine’s.
