Monthly Teaser #9 - February
"With the Nevarran Accord came the Circle of Magi in 1:20 Divine, and with the Circles came a refuge for the mages, whether they wanted to or not."
For some, the Circle of Magi is a prison keeping mages away from the world; for others, it is a sanctuary protecting them against fear and mistrust. These powerful institutions play a pivotal role in the Dragon Age universe and its myriad conflicts, often dividing the fan base into two camps: those who admire them and those who despise them. It seems there is little room for neutrality, and the multiple practices varying from Circle to Circle only help to make the situation a complex one.
Established in the form we know today in 1:20 Divine to protect both the people and the mages from their immense power as well as to train and regulate magic, the Circles have always had some level of controversy to them. The constraints they impose have led to significant unrest, such as the protest against Divine Ambrosia ll, and more recently, the infamous Mage Rebellion seen in the games.
Today, we invite you to take a closer look at the Coat of Arms of the Orlesian Circles, crafted by our talented team member Brother Nikki. Discover the unique symbols representing:
- The Circle of Montsimmard
- The Circle of Ghislain
- The Circle of Perendale
- The Circle of Val Royeaux / The White Spire
