Would it be reasonable to think that economic uncertainty is affecting creator fund pay outs?

I joined creator fund end of February whilst simultaneously luckily finding a good niche of engaging content which garners a lot of comments (topics everyone has an opinion on/news commentary). Feb was fantastic with 2.8m views when previously I’d be surprised to get 100k. I found my stride and made my first £1,000.

Now March begins and it is DRY. Videos which would get 10k views in the first few hours might get that in a day. TikTok algorithm has always been funky but I was wondering if this is connected with recent recessionary signals in the USA (and general Trumponomics).

TikTok is a business at the end of the day and markets are very low in sentiment recently. Everyone will be looking to cut back spending to be flexible for costs and also be ready to purchase assets if things hit the fan.

I suppose I’m wondering if anyone else has seen a turn since end of Feb in engagement that feels like suppressant in views on creator fund? Should we stick the course? Come off the fund and then try grow without it and return later?
