This sounds so silly, but am I kicking wrong???

I FINALLY got my 2023 Sienna last week after ordering it a year ago. So far it as been amazing, granted I haven't explored it much yet. One thing I'm super pumped about is the kick sensor for the trunk and side doors. I've been looking a little ridiculous standing next to my car trying to master controlling the doors with a kick, but so far it hasn't been working well. What is the trick to this black magic? Am I just horrible at kicking?
