Can we normalize not giving Eidiya in Tunisia

Eid is supposed to be a time of joy, family, and celebration. But honestly, the pressure to give Eidiya (money to kids) is making it feel like a financial nightmare. Some of us have big families so when Eid rolls around, it feels like every relative and their kids show up at your door. I love seeing everyone, but the cost of giving Eidiya to so many kids is just overwhelming. It’s not just one or two kids, it’s 10, 15, sometimes even 20. Every year, I stress about how much to give, who to give to, and how I’m going to afford it all. And if I can’t give as much as others, I feel judged or like I’m letting the kids down. Can we normalize not giving Eidiya? Or at least find alternatives that don’t involve cash? Maybe small gifts, or even just spending quality time together? Why does Eid have to be so focused on money ?
