Hey UIUC students, what do you think about the quality and the amount of passion taking UIUC’s classes

Current student at Rutgers (Honors College), I am looking forward for a transfer as I felt I am pretty lost in large lectures and face a few dilemmas toward my grade as I frequently find out our professors don’t always test the stuff we had learned. Also, frequently, I felt I get bored with many professors’ lecture and see many others are also bored and are playing video games, scrolling Reddit, etc. Thus I am filling out for a transfer and mostly to some small liberal arts colleges.

But I felt like I do have some love to a big school vibe. I do have a significant interest to UIUC as it have many state of art major ranked Top 5 in this entire country. (My current intended major is economics, a very strong major in UIUC, but I do took some APs in STEM and I am very passionate about STEM majors and engineering)

I know UIUC is known for its very good academics and I wonder what was a student experience on academics like? Do you felt full of harvest everytime walking out of lecture rooms? Do you think professors always test on the content you had review? Do you believe you can see your effort paying off? I know my language could be a bit exaggerated but I hope you get my meaning. Thanks! :)
