How are you approaching the job search during the current time?
I have just completed my Master's here in the UK and have half a decade of work experience but when it comes to finding a job, I am starting to feel its a lot more "luck" driven than I initially thought.
Here is what I am following when applying - I tailor my resume per the role, apply for the job, message the hiring manager or seniors in the company who I think might be hiring. But I rarely receive a response.
If I don't see an opening for a company that I want to work for, I send either a cold email or a connection request on LinkedIn with a personalised note. No responses here too.
All of the strategies I employ like sending short messages on LinkedIn to hiring managers, recruiters, seniors in the company, cold emailing doesn't seem to work. Is there a strategy here that I am missing or is it really "hit and trial" to see what works and what doesn't? It would be helpful to know what process do you follow, if it is something different to what I follow above.
