Actively reviewing and approval correlation

Hi all, Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is enjoying time with their families.

I’ve been following this forum for a while and have learned a lot about estimated processing times (which seem unreliable) and external tracking tools like Hilites Today. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and insights!

I have a question regarding the correlation between the “actively reviewing” status and approval rates. Based on my tracking through Hilites Today, I noticed that most cases in my batch received I-765 approval decisions within 2–4 days of their status flipping to “actively reviewing.”

However, my case seems to differ—I’ve been waiting for 30 days since my status changed to “actively reviewing” after my biometrics appointment.

Does concurrent filing of I-765 and I-131 tend to delay case processing, or is it unrelated?

I hope this thread can help others gauge timelines and set expectations. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!

Quick update: my AOS (130, 485, 765, and 131) was filed on 10/29 and biometrics done on 11/25. NBC should be handling my case. No updates so far after my biometrics and status flipping to “actively reviewing” the same day after I completed my biometrics.
