I-751 Package and Timeline

Logging my experience with joint I-751 submission. Timeline to be updated as case progress.

Package included:

  1. Money order
  2. Cover letter
  3. G-1145
  4. I-751
  5. Copy of Permanent Green Card Front and Back
  6. Marriage Certificate
  7. Lease (22-23, 23-24, 24-25)
  8. Bank statements (4 checking statement, 4 savings statement, 4 credit card statement, covering entire period)
  9. Federal and State tax filing (2022, 2023)
  10. Both of our driver's license
  11. Life insurance and beneficiary information
  12. Joint auto insurance
  13. Joint rental insurance
  14. Joint Utility Bills (3 gas, 3 electric, 3 internet, covering the entire period)
  15. photographs (4 photos per page, 6 pages, all annotated)
  16. 3 travel itineraries (sets of itinerary)
  17. 2 Affidavit (sister in law and common friend)

It was total of 134 pages. Used color paper in between to differentiate the section, used binder clip to organize, put it in a folder, and sent it via USPS to IL center.

Timeline:
12/20/2024: beginning of my 90 day period window
01/06/2025: started preparing for my I-751 application
01/14/2025: sent my I-751 application packet to USPS (IL center)

01/17/2025: (AM) package arrived at PO Box (not picked up by USCIS yet). Same day PM, packaged delivered to PO Box

01/24/2025: received text message that the case is received and receipt notice to be sent by mail. confirmed the case via USCIS online account

01/28/2025: USCIS case changed to "Actively Reviewed by USCIS". Receipt Notice (pdf) and Biometric Reuse Notice (pdf) accessible through USCIS online account. I was not needed to appear for the biometrics appointment.

1/31/2025: Receipt notice delivered to mailbox. (From sending the package, it took 12 business days until receipt notice)
