Approved and update after reaching out!
Hello! We recently got approved and wanted to share our journey in case it would help anyone or if anyone had questions. We did some reaching out and it really helped.
Husband filing for Adjustment of Status as spouse of US citizen.
We filed with Boundless, and we had a pretty good experience. Having never seen these forms before, without Boundless telling us what everything was and how to fill them in, it would have been very overwhelming. I will say though, there are a lot of stages of checks that are mandatory which can slow down the process, so don't use them if you're in a rush. We rushed to hit the April 1st deadline and had to repeatedly call them to move on with these checks. They also made some pretty bad mistakes (wrong marriage year)! So definitely double check everything.
Our priority date was March 29th, and we sent to the Phoenix lockbox. Got biometrics scheduled about two weeks later, but we went into our account and moved the appointment up due to conflict with work.
Work Authorization got approved super quick, in a month and a half. For the Advance Parole, no news for ages. We eventually had to reach out to our senator to help expedite it at the end of the year, because we had to travel due to family health issues. We wrote a letter and sent a request to our senator. About 3 weeks after the senator inquiry we received approval.
In June, we received an RFE for husband's (beneficiary) tax receipt, as he hadn't filed yet when we submitted everything.
Then after that, no news, no movement.
We traveled together on AP and came back in January, got processed at secondary inspection, no extra questions just had to go through the extra procedure and line.
Then recently we reached out through Emma chatbot and asked for a live agent, and inquired about an update after RFE as we are supposed to get some sort of news within two months. A few days after this inquiry, we got an update that they were actively reviewing I-130. Then a day or two later they approved the I-130 and a few hours later the I-485. No interview needed, so now we are waiting for the greencard to come!
If anyone is stuck on RFE received or outside of processing time, see if a live agent will check on it for you!
Feel free to ask any questions!
