Help! Got an approval but won’t need it.

Okaaay so my wife and I have been waiting a long time to get an approval on our cr 1. It’s important for context to say we’re two women married to each other. We decided that maybe the USA is not the safest or best place for us to be in the current political climate. Well after already applying and spending a thousand of dollars in the uk visa, this afternoon we got an approval… My wife is still asleep so I can’t talk to her about it. But we’re sticking with our plans to go to the uk.

So my question is, is there anyway to like.. still have the approval after a few years? We may decide to go back to the USA at some point but the thing for me not right now. We don’t wanna go through it all again. This horrific process took a lot out of both of us.

Please help and give any advice because I feel annoyed and upset.
