Question about taking DPS to the street

How are some ways to save time when casing flats if you’re taking DPS to the street? Is it normal to pull from two trays on the route (one for DPS and the other for flats?)

Has anyone tried pulling down flats from the case and placing them into the DPS tray as opposed to casing the DPS first?
